And you realize that at age 19, these guys did this?

Andruw: 1.072 across A/AA/AAA, playing the best CF defense of his generation (maybe ever), and hit some HRs in the World Series.

Harper: 5+ WAR at the MLB level, rookie of the year, and an all star.

You're saying Acuna is at that level?

Agree with enscheff on the Acuna/Andruw comparison. Acuna has done extrenely well, but everyone needs to go back and check Andruw's last season in the minors when the rocketed up through the system. Better hitting numbers across the board and then there was the all-world fielding part of the equation as well.

You forgot to mention Trout, who is the best of the 3.

At age 19, Trout batted .326 in AA with 11 HR and 33 stolen bags. He had a cup of coffee in the bigs at the end of the year.

How does that compare to what Acuna is doing?

Lol ok bud, no arguing with blind homerism.

Trout was a kid from a cold weather HS, and still posted those AA numbers at 19.

Folks are obviously allowed to put Acuna in the same category of Andruw, Harper and Trout if they choose to do so.

Shoulder problem in Seattle before he even made a pitch in an official league

To be fair, Acuna's age 19 numbers are very similar to what Trout did at the same age.

It's a long shot obviously, but there is a chance...

Acuna is batting .310 with 15 HR and 35 SB across A+/AA/AAA in 381 AB at 19 years old.

Trout batted .326 with 11 HR and 33 SB in AA in 412 AB at 19 years old.

Yet, I'm so crazy thinking Acuna could be in his ballpark?

LOL. Just because I disagree doesn't make me a blind homer. I hate the way we've conducted the rebuild. I would have gone for bats instead of arms.

    But I'm a blind homer.

Lol you can think whatever you want.

Nobody with half a clue will agree with you. Pose the question to live chats on sites like FG and MLBTR and see what impartial analysts have to say.

Why should I care what they say when I follow Acuna much more closely? They are not correct 100% of the time.

    I trust myself.

I'm not going to say Wentz is Hamels or Ozzie is Altuve. I deserve an apology from you for the blind homer rhetoric; I am generally a fan of yours.

I think people forget that there have been hundreds of players like Acuna over the years, but only one guy who has done what Trout has done.

In other words, there has never been a prospect and never will be a prospect with whom I will label as having the ceiling of being the greatest baseball player of all time. That's just not a thing.

Go look at the track record of everyone who had disagreed with me on this board.

    That's the side you're on.

    I'm sorry that you're wrong.

Lol. I'm not on any side. Nobody is ever going to agree 100% of the time with anyone, and nobody is ever right 100% of the time.

Comparing anyone to Trout is silly. Trout wasn't Trout until he reached the bigs. a small sample size of stats that compare to another small sample size of stats doesn't mean anything. I would love for Acuna or whoever to become a 'great'... but predicting it is not something you can do.

I don't know if there are trout in Venezuela, so I've taken the liberty to look up some of the native fish of Venezuela. My nominees are:

    The Firewood Catfish

    The Royal Gramma

    The Venezuelan Grouper
