Amash had one chance on the national stage and showed his mettle.

I follow his twitter feed. He is not going to say anything he hasn't already said.

I have better things to do with 30 minutes than listen to a wanna be Congressman that uses "freedom" every other word.
He's like a bleached blond. you have to look for the roots, but, they are there

Wow... he's had one chance in his entire career? Interesting.

I know you don't care to watch. That's fine. This was more for the more rational adults on here. I'd like to hear from jpx, julio, thethe, weso.

Your contributions to this board are LOLGOP tweets. And I will read them as you post them.

By the way - how is a congressman a "wanna be Congressman?"

Justin Amash is an empty suit.

As was Eric Canter -Paul Ryan and any other number of (R) congress people living on White House ambition and press clippings.
    From a cast of 435

Why is he not in the conversation for Michigan Senator
    Instead of Kid Rock

Even Michigan (R) sees what you don't.

but hey, he says "freedom" alot

I used to think thethe was rational and fine, but his total blind defense of Trump has just opened up the reality that he's just another poorly informed voter.

I toured the National Holocaust museum today with my girlfriend (who's grandfather is a survivor)... honestly, seeing it makes it real tough to not to want to do something to help Syrian refugees (as just one examples).

I don't want to take this thread in a different direction but an outright lie like this is absurd. Please find any post of my 'blind defense' of trump.

You can keep repeating the line over and over all because he voted for a bill to remove an individual mandate on buying a product. The horror!!!

Meanwhile, he's one of two republicans calling for an independent investigation on Russian ties to Trump and one of a handful who consistently rail against the ex/im bank - the greatest example of cronyism and corporate welfare in our country.

But sure - empty suit... all because you didn't like his vote to take away something your god brought us

    He is a grandstander.

    Until he proves otherwise.

    What are the words ?
    "troubled"
    "inappropriate"

When he stands in defiant opposition to the party ----- let me know
    Talk is cheap

Is he planning on leaving (R) ?

There are so many examples of him voting against the party that it's not even worth arguing with him.

You're mad at him over one vote. That he explained. Like he does all his votes (name the other congressmen who do).

Did you hold your god Obama to these standards? (don't bother answering bc you know we have countless examples of hypocrisy and spinelessness)

I don't see the correlation. Where did the Jews have to go during that time? Are Syrians systematically herded like cattle to their deaths?

This insistence on comparing any event to the Holocaust is insulting. My Grandfather had numbers tattooed on his arm.

Don't want to derail the discussion. But two events don't have to be exactly the same for them to have parallels.

Many Jews could have gone to the US as many attempted to do but were denied access due to the rabid jingoism/anti-semitism in America of that era.

Syrians are not being "herded' but their death tolls are astonishing, And estimated 100K civilians have been killed in the Syrian Civil war. It's no holocaust, no one is denying it but Hundreds of thousands are being killed. NOt taking in refugees is killing them.

Take that visit to heart my friend, it might be your first step into a much larger world.
