Mark Marksberry has signed with Somerset in the Patriot(?) League. Last many of us heard, he was recovering from that scary coma that came way too close to ending his left following the 2016 season. He has, wonder be to God, fully recovered.

rico's probably doing a high-level consult somewhere, so I thought I'd start the 8/3 minor league thread with news of a Josh Collmenter sighting in the GCL. He pitched three innings and got the win in the completion of yesterday's suspended game with one of the two Yankee GCL entries. Jeffrey Ramos continues to rake finishing 3/4 with 1 2B and 1 HR.
21-year-old Gabriel Noguera makes his stateside debut in the regularly-scheduled game. May, 2016, signee out of Venezuela who pitched in 9 games in the DSL earlier this year.
