Ugh.
replace colon and jim johnson with real players and snit has this team right on the wild card front door.

No
Bringing Snitker back is like being the San Diego/LA Chargers of the NFL. He will get you several .500 (8-8) years and mediocre draft picks (between 13-18 -- not getting any elite players), but he is not the answer to get over the hump.
He's not a playoff type manager in my eyes. I know Freeman and others have went and sung his praises to the front office but liking somebody only gets you so far.
Yeah. But if he does get us to game 7. Then we are good.

I think Snitker better serves the organization in the minors. It's time to bring a fresh perspective in. No matter how many Bobby disciples we use, the 90s aren't going to happen again unless three of these young pitchers are hall of gamers and Acuna, Swanson and Albies reach their heights.

He's pitched to a 5.34 xFIP with the Twins, about the same as he did with the Braves. He's been the same pitcher, but sometimes things that are mostly random (BABIP, strand rate, HR per fly ball) will skew the outcomes one direction or the other. Especially over small samples.
It was lucky for the Braves he was unlucky while pitching for them. Otherwise he'd still be in the rotation and Newcomb and/or Sims would not be receiving auditions.

I've advocated for a good rebuild for a while. I don't understand this intermingling of a barely serviceable manager and the need to push these teenagers so quickly. I love what they're doing and how they're responding, but Dansby is definitely a cautionary tale. If Snit is your manager of the present and future, why do I feel treadmill city even with all the prospects we have coming up?
"Son of a bitc...", dansby Swanson

Improvement is never linear and predictable. The whole Dansby situation is much more on Hart than Snitker. 99.9% on Hart. But he's a good baseball man with lots of experience and he is surrounded by a bunch of other good baseball men. I must say though that every time he gives an interview, I find the material to be disturbing or comical, sometimes both.

Snitker should have never been hired in the first place. Good guy and capable manager, but not what this team needs.
