He's lost the zip on his FB and his breaking pitches have always been poor.

Albies hit!
Forever Fredi
Julio always seemed to walk the fine line between effective and disaster. The difference was his mistakes used to be caught by Markakis and Heyward. Now, they are being caught by Joe from Cobb County in the Chop House.
For those chalking this up has him losing speed on his fastball, the data doesn't support this at all.
The biggest issue that Julio can control is the walks. Walking 3.5 per nine is inexcusable for him.

So what exactly does the score have to be for Fried to pitch? Makes the decision to have him up even more head scratching. Let him pitch.
The last homerun was bad luck...I don't have a clue how he even got to that ball and then had enough on it to get out. It looked like a big can of corn off his bat.
Julio will make $8, $11 &12 million the next three years. They really need to clear that $31 mil. off the books. Any of our rookies can come in and pitch as well (or better) on the cheap.
Heck ship him to Detroit for Verlander. They get a young pitcher and we get a good vet.
He is not consistant at all...he needs to be gone over the offseason in a bad way. They blew it not trading him at the deadline last year..just need to cut their loses and get that money off the books at this point.
This is a HORRIBLE park for him!!
The only decision worse than trading Julio right now is not trading him last summer.

That HR off Julio was hit a ton. It was in no way a cheap sun trust homer. That ball was killed.
We cannot beat the phillies. Snit should be fired for that alone
Well, hopefully he can turn it around in the next seven weeks and finish strong- then maybe we can generate a market for him- but don't hold your breath.
And, as others have said, his salary is a bargain if he can get back to form-- or even somewhat close to what he was.
Julio has got to be tipping his pitches. The only way a hitter can hit that pitch out of the park is they know it's coming.
Max Fried?
He won't be Fried under the tutelage of Snit the Twit.
Wait I thought Julio was once a very good and highly rated prospect. What gives!?!!?
