I was a bit skeptical of the pick when they made it, which is why I'm a fan and there are professional scouts.

Said his changeup has become a really good pitch for him. I believe that's really great news as he was a FB\SL guy coming in. Big for his chances to stick in the rotation... really big.

Rome is 4 back and with Wilson, Wentz and Anderson throwing well, they could push into the playoffs and once in, that is a formidable threesome to take on...

yes, I watched him a few times early on and thought of him as a really nice closer.. had a good slider and good FB. that still might end up his role, but no need to doubt his abilities as a starter either.

Like I've been saying, Wilson probably has as good of a shot as any of the current Braves prospects to make it. That 22 ranking is a joke obviously.

As I've been breaking down pitchers stuff lately, I've began to realize why every single pitching prospect "needs to develop his change and fine tune his command".

Literally every pitching prospect has a FA plus a SL or CU. The only way they stick as SPs is if they develop the CH to use when they don't have the platoon advantage. Then they have to figure out how to throw strikes and not groove pitches right down the middle.

Agree with you, but now I'm worried since you also said trading Povse for Jackson was a disaster of a trade.

Yeah, that was the report coming out. If he can develop his change he's a starter if not he's got back end of the pen stuff. He'll shoot up prospect rankings this offseason.

So there is a chance Florida's rotation next year could be Anderson, Wentz, Wilson, Muller, and Harrington. That would be pretty cool to see

They may assign Muller to Rome and Harrington could be bound for the pen, but that would be pretty cool to see all of them in the rotation together

Oh, I guess I missed that he came up. Probably missed it since he came up as a reliever... and did terrible.
