    TUESDAY MINORS FINAL 8/15 ,,, Another Rome mega-marathon

    MARATHON MEN

    Rome lost in 17 innings Tuesday night -- the third such game this year. In fact, the previous two went 18 innings:

    On April 22, a three-run 18th led to a 7-4 victory i n 5:14
    ON May 20, host Lexington pushed across a single run for a 7-6 win in 5:38
    Last night's game took "only" 4:32.

    Rome also played an 18-inning game in 2006.

    Acuņa has shown the Braves he's ready. Good and bad to that due to service time. To bad he'd be one of the best players on the mlb team as a rookie right now.

    Where exactly would Acuna play in the lineup? He's a great contact guy who can hit for power, but he's no cleanup hitter. Maybe a two-hole hitter?
