Danville was shut out when the Appalachian League end-of-season all-stars were announced yesterday -- but the Manager of the Year is former Braves farmhand Scott Thorman himself.
Thorman is currently managing the Royals' Appy club in Burlington.

I guess it's not a real surprise that the D-Braves didn't get an all-star although Contreras not being named is a puzzler to some extent. They've cycled a lot of players out (and my guess is Isranel Wilson was on his way to all-star consideration if he had remained in Danville all season) and the guys who have come in (Waters, Maitan, Ramos) simply haven't been in the league long enough to warrant a selection. Not much pitching in Danville this year.

So now it's essentially guaranteed Wentz is top 100 should we talk about how high should he be ranked? Top 75? Top 50?

I'd imagine he's a high grade 50 or low 55 FV player. That would put him around the 75ish mark.

FG has him between Soroka (93) and Pache (just outside the Top 100). Wentz is right on the edge of Top 100, probably 90-110.

Fair ranking considering he is only in a ball. I can see that being what happens.

Those were preseason ranks, though, right?

I think it's reasonable to assume Soroka's ranking has improved at least somewhat, so Wentz could be higher than that.

Wentz seems efficient as well. He could have easily gone 2 more innings today considering his pitch count. Could not have asked for a better season out of him

Thewupk might be right and he's around 75. Hopefully FG does an updated Top 100 that has more info than the disappointing org list updates.

Based on all EL has said, I imagine the FVs are something like:

    1. Ronald Acuna 60/65
    2. Ozzie Albies 60
    3. Kyle Wright 60
    4. Luiz Gohara 60/55
    5. Kolby Allard 55
    6. Kevin Maitan 55/50
    7. Ian Anderson 55/50
    8. Mike Soroka 55/50
    9. Joey Wentz 50
    10. Cristian Pache 50

Wentz anywhere from 75 to 110 is reasonable.

Allard dealing tonight. He's been forgotten some this year, but he's turning in quite a nice season for a 19/20 in AA. The strikeouts are starting to pile up finally.

Acuna is 2-3 tonight with a double, a homerun, and 4 RBIs. That's after finishing last night's game 3-6. He's now hitting .343.
