He's getting better almost by the month...that's the crazy thing.

I don't want to start his clock early in the least, but he has noting left to prove.
Austin Jackson with a homer tonight. Starting to get adjusted to AA.

I don't see any reason why Acuna isn't the #1 prospect in baseball.
Wisler in relief...

Hopefully he's settling into a relief role
Riley 2-3, 2b

Wouldn't mind seeing him brought up in May next year, if he starts fairly hot. That would both delay his clock and to be a little more sure that he's what he appears to be. My guess is he is the starting RF in 2018, if they can figure out to do with one or both of our current corner OF's, which is exciting, but probably not the wisest move.
Maybe the concern over allard not K'n guys should subside. His last 2 outings...

Acuna is some talent.
If that is the case. I have no idea if it is. Then Allard is our best pitching prospect.
Regardless, it is good to see him K more guys. A lot more these last 2 starts. It appears like he is going to have pretty good control and command so the only piece missing is enough Ks.
Speaking of this. What are some thoughts on Rome's rotation next year?
Tarnok should be a given. Does Muller pass Rome if healthy? Does Yefri and Contreras start there? Do you try Bacon as a starter to get innings even though he'll be a reliever?
I'm guessing it would be Muller, Tarnok, Ynao, Contreras, and Yefri
Its not uncommon for the Braves to do that. I remember when Tommy Hanson (RIP) was pitching in AA he broke out one game for like 13 k's. Shanks reported that the Braves didn't let him throw his slider all year and then gave him the green light. This was later confirmed by other sources.
By all accounts Allards curve is the best in the system. Even better than Touki simply because he commands it better. It makes sense that the Braves want him to have a full three pitch arsenal. The fastball/change also leads to lower pitch counts because it keeps hitters off timing and generate weaker contact.
Allard is our best pitching prospect. Always has been.

While a great theory (and I think it goes on more than people realize in MILB), I wait to see it confirmed in writing somewhere before I lean on that theory much.
Once again, I think it happens a great deal in the minors because its a great way to develop other offerings.
