Adams/kemp platoon? I have no problem with it if it is.

Please flip dansby and Albies or dansby and the pitcher

Front door curve on the outside corner followed by 93 on the inside corner to K Duvall. That was impressive.

Castillo is what we were told all the recently promoted Braves pitching prospects were.

The heater at 97 helps too...especially when all we heard was that Fried and Newk and Sims throw mid to upper 90s...then don't.

The speed doesn't matter (that much). Its the velocity delta that does it IMO.

Newcomb could be an elite ace if he could get the walks under 3 per 9. That's unlikely but his stuff is that good.

95+ didn't matter to Neck there.

Again, its about location and arm action. Thats the part that statcast won't be able to catch.

If you can locate your fastball (of course this can be captured) and your changeup looks the same out of the hand (cannot capture) to the hitter that is when you become effective.

I am aware. 95+ lets you get away with more mistakes.

Only if you locate it on a consistent basis. Sometimes 95+ yields a higher exit velocity.

Indeed. But if you can't locate at all the better velocity matters.
