I could get into the foreign policy stuff, the historic, never before seen Middle East peace deals, the complete reversal to deterring Chinese aggression instead of the previous administration's bowing to them, the strengthened ties with China's natural enemies, the lack of Russian aggression after it was plentiful during the previous administration, the increased defense spending of our NATO partners, our withdrawal from the terribly unfair Paris accord, the improvement over NAFTA. But there probably isn't much point in that.
    1) we are subsidizing midwest farmers for these "protectionist tarifffs"
at the cost of ... we dont know yet

    2) military readiness really ? against who, invading hordes at the southern border

    3) “I ended it because it’s racist. I ended it because a lot of people were complaining that they were asked to do things that were absolutely insane, that it was a radical revolution that was taking place in our military, in our schools, all over the place,” Trump said, though he did not directly answer moderator Chris Wallace’s question about whether he believes that systemic racism exists in the U.S. “We were paying people hundreds of thousands of dollars to teach very bad ideas and frankly, very sick ideas. And really, they were teaching people to hate our country, and I’m not going to allow that to happen."
I would disagree with that as a policy and even further as an accomplishment

    4) Constitutional literalists? Who follow literally a script/ doctrine written before the Industrial Revolution, women's vote and the 3/5's a human

    6) I dont know what that means. Outside of if one didnt bow or suck his cock one caught MAGA ire

    7) whatever, my thoughts are since Reagan we have been living in a (R) civil war. Ask Boehner or Paul Ryan

    8) yes, he did do that, not quite the way you frame it though

Interesting tactic Hungary is taking. Instead of relying on immigration to combat low birth rates like most of Europe, they are encouraging and financially incentivizing their citizens to have more children. It's way past time we do the same.

Maybe it's just younger folks realizing how expensive it is to have one kid let alone multiple, and some actually don't want to bring a child into this world knowing how much humans are destroying the planet without care.

New generation of whiny babies don’t want to shoulder the responsibility and are just lazy AF. Not hard to succeed in this world with a little hard work and perseverance.

Whatever the reason, a declining population is very bad for our future

The ever increasing cost of raising children is certainly a major factor, which is why borrowing Hungary's plans to lower that cost would make sense here. We wanted to have 4. Realizing that just the cost of childcare for 4 kids would offset an entire income at our house changed that.

No, stopped at 2 so we could afford for the wife to stay home with them. I wish we had kept going and just figured out the finances. They grow up far too quickly.

Well if we are fortunate enough to have a girl the second time I suspect we will stop but I’m all for more. Have to convince the Mrs on that. Have confidence in the financial aspect but damn it ain’t cheap.

The childless are one of the most disadvantaged groups in terms of tax and spending policy. A very large chunk of their tax dollars goes towards benefits received by families with children. There is an argument to be made, however, that there are some social benefits from a growing population. To put it another way, the free market might not generate a socially optimal outcome as far as fertility goes. This would justify to some extent transfers from the childless to families with children.

There is a similar argument with respect to education. The benefits of education mainly accrue to the people who receive that education. However, there are some benefits from having a well educated population that accrue more widely to society as a whole. This justifies some subsidization of education. Some of this happens in the form of the above referenced transfers that occur from childless people to families with children.

There is a form of folk libertarian argument, however, against both transfers. It runs like this. Having a child is a personal decision and society should respect individual liberty on such matters and take a laissez faire approach. Sorta like letting people decide for themselves whether to wear a mask and social distance. Similarly, getting an education is a personal responsibility. There is something to both arguments. But like many similar libertarian arguments they can become absurd when taken to their logical conclusions. A really absurd example has to do with whether the handicapped, the very young (even fetuses), the very old, and other vulnerable people should be left to their own devices (taking responsibility for themselves as libertarians are fond of saying). I don't think any of us believe that. We want those groups to be protected. We even fund very expensive special education programs that involve very large transfers from people without special needs children to families with special needs children. All of these issues involve tradeoffs that are what public policy and politics are all about.

We check a non-white box in the Race column on my kids'demographic forms, ergo I'm helping destroy the white patriarchy.
