    9/16 vs mets

I complained last time dansby was sat, but not tonight. Tough rh pitcher on the mound and Rio looking much better. I do want dansby to start the rest of the games from here out

For those who like to talk about Braves pitchers becoming TOR guys, watch deGrom and become acquainted with the type of stuff required.

Sure, if he added 2 average or better pitches.

Albies walk rate is getting interesting. You get a guy with that much speed on 40+% of the time....wow

He has to continue to refine the change because 2-pitch guys Top out as Chris Archer. As he loses velo on the FA he will likely have to add something like a cutter or sinker.

And he will obviously have to maintain average or better control.

I don't think we should bring dickey back. Just throw the kids out there and see what happens.

Is adding pitches a long shot for MLB pitchers?

Dickey's option has become a real question mark for the team. I agree with thethe - lets ride with the kids.

And I think it really shouldn't be a question. If we are continuing rebuild, play all the kids. If we are trying to compete, find a better pitcher. I don't get bringing him back at all.

If you can snipe Cobb or Lynn early for a reasonable price tag than sure go for it but we need to see if Fried is part of the rotation moving forward.

What in the world did deGrom just use to strike out Suzuki? A cutter/slider at 94?

jon heyman noted today that the Braves are likely to pick up Dickey's 8 million dollar option.

I'm of the mindset to let Gohara, Fried, and Newcomb fill out the rotation and to spend the 7.5 million saved on Dickey on one or two pen pieces.

They will keep him with hopes of trading him at the deadline.

Of course all we need to make a playoff run is a 44 year old knuckballer said no GM ever.

    Except Coppy
