Shootings In Las Vegas

I heard it was at a concert and someone was shooting from a second floor down to the first. Heard it was hundreds of ****s fired. Cops must be pissed they had to take time out of policing for profit to actually serve and protect.

What terrible news to wake up to...

Simply awful. What is a 64 year old mans motivation for such a thing?

Really interested to hear a motive. I heard it reported he had never been convicted but was known to police. I assume he was just ready to die and wanted one last **** you to the world.

The brother of the Las Vegas shooter said that he was a normal guy who must have 'snapped' before carrying out the worst mass shooting in American history.

In an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com, Eric Paddock said that 'something happened' to make his brother Stephen kill at least 50 people and injure 200.

Eric said that there was 'absolutely no indication he could do something like this' and said that Stephen had no political or religious affiliation.

He said: 'He was just a guy. Something happened, he snapped or something'.

Speaking from his home in Orlando, Florida, Eric said: 'We know absolutely nothing, this is just, we are dumbfounded.

Important to remember ISIS has used the Strip in a propaganda video.

I hope that it wasn't Islamic Terrorism. Not a good thing for the country if so.

I am struggling to get my head around the concept that there could be anything about the causes or motivations of this that makes it any more or less bad.

I would guess that thethe is saying it would be worse for this attack to be the result of a planning by the largest terrorist organization in the world, instead of a random wack job. The outcome is horrific either way, but ISIS involvement would make the future more bleak.

It just means that we are susceptible to what Europe is dealing with. Thats not a good thing.

Perhaps if you're a whackadoodle xenophobe.

Indonesia is the world's most populous Muslim-majority nation; almost 87.18% of Indonesians declared themselves Muslim in the 2010 census.[14]

yes - completely irrelevant.

Most of the time, you don't just "snap" and wind up killing 50+ people. It's obvious this guy had an anger issue and he acted on it. Just will have to see what the investigation shows. In the meantime, prayers for the victims and their families. Just a horrible situation any way you look at it.

I think it's irrelevant either way, but if we want to go there...

When any whack job out there can easily acquire the tools to kill dozens of people in the time it takes to type this, I'd say the future was already pretty bleak. I'd guess there's essentially zero chance of my ever witnessing an ISIS attack. I can't say the same for incidents of gun violence. Which is more rational to fear?
