Now Kevin Spacey has been outed as gay and a known sex abuser. I have to admit that I didn't see that one either. People in the know say the numbers on him could be as high as Weinstein. Who's next?
This is a great thing and I hope it leads to more equality in the workplace.

The amount of assault victims that are now opening up is just disturbing. I think the biggest positive is that more victims are finding the willingness to come forward. Hopefully the exposure will drastically reduce future instances.

I worry people are going to get carried away with this. Obvious Weinstein and Spacey did terrible **** but I would bet every single person has done something that would be considered sexual assault by the standards we use today. There are people out there who want to take this way overboard.

He was sending provocative texts to her while he was drunk... he's the problem, she was responding to them quite explicitly. Not talking sexual orientation stuff here but doesn't just about every character Spacey plays seem to have that basic "attitude" about them? Maybe that's why he's such a good actor, he really isn't acting at all.
You guys raise good points. But on a real basic level, does the growing exposure of this stuff nauseate you? Let me be the first to admit, I'm a sinner, deserving of my own merit nothing but wrath and displeasure. That said we really have much darkness from sea to shining sea. American exceptionalism? Exceptionally good at being depraved it seems.

So far the stuff that's come out that Freeman did is pretty mild. Mostly just inappropriate comments. If that's the extent of it, it's not much of a story.
Problem is this has impacted the 'good' guys just as much as the 'bad' ones. It's impact will be felt for generations.
1) You're more than welcome to provide evidence of how 'good' guys are being impacted by this movement.
2) I think the biggest reevaluation we need to make is what constitutes bad behavior toward women. For too long, men could get away with so much that we poorly defined good and bad behavior. If it's true that Morgan Freeman lifted the skirts of his female coworkers and meant it as a harmless joke, then we still have work to do as a society.
