I'll join the Pache explode bandwagon.
I'm doubling down on Ian Anderson imploding.

Tough crowd on Riley. All he has done is progress each year. I don’t think he will be a super star, but should be a pretty solid starter. He has done well.
Touki is my implode/explode guy. He could be really good...or really bad. Imma be a homer and say this is the year of the Touki!!!

Xplode - Pache, Muller, Contreras - longer term: T. Davidson, JC Encarnacion
Implode - D.Cruz..not much expected but a move to 2nd may help. Parsons. Hasn't rebounded.

What’s great is there is usually that one guy no one really expects to explode.
From the trade deadline on...its gonna be interesting, because by that point AA will have evaluated players. The trade line and next offseason...it’s about to be LIT.

It was a bit tongue-in-cheek, but I think Mooney is one of those guys who is going to stick around as long as he wants because of the things you mention (and he supposedly is a tremendous fielder). He may not ever make it to the majors, but I wouldn't be surprised if he's one of those baseball lifers who coaches and manages (if he so chooses). With the exodus of international middle IF prospects (Maitan, Soto, Severino, Pena), Mooney will be getting some serious ABs. A lot depends on where Didder ends up now that he's back in the IF (I'm guessing Mississippi for R-PEKD), Mooney is the likely SS in Florida. Here's hoping he makes the most of it.
I checked in on Angels camp and saw Kevin Maitan, who still looks heavy. He deserves time to right the ship, but he’s behind where I would have hoped him to be entering spring training. Scouts who have seen more of him than I have this spring have taken issue with his bat path and inconsistent defensive hands. It’s early, but things aren’t off to an auspicious start.
