You're confusing the President of the USA with the President of the McRib fan club

We haven't had a fatty in a while. Might be the key to success. Don't really see those two as compatible.

I'm not so sure about Rand for VP either, though he would seem to be an attractive choice to entice the TEA party folks, but I think weso may be onto something here. I've told this story before but I had a student in an online course from NJ, an avowed Dem, and I asked him about Christie just to see what he thought and he said he loved the guy, not crazy about Repubs in general but he'd vote for Christie in a heartbeat.

I like Christie from what I know about him. Not sure how well he'd do down south unless he sold out as a big social conservative.

Who was the last fatty? Taft? He sucked. He sucked so much that Teddy Roosevelt decided to run against him.

Yeah but Teddy was fat once too. Taft got stuck in the tub.

All presidents leave a legacy and doctrine.

Taft's legacy was getting stuck in a tub.

I highly doubt he was an avowed Dem. Christie is losing ground to Buono and he's fresh off Sandy still where he stuck his thumb at the national republican scene. New Jersey will stay blue. What Christie gives them though is Romney without the religious screw ups and the flip flops. A tax cut and spend repub fit for the best.

Rand doesn't strike me as a second in charge guy. He's to outspoken and is a media whore. The VP isn't supposed to go against the President and Rand would. Not everyone is capable of playing second fiddle.

I still think Jeb Bush will play into the equation. The GOP needs to carry Florida and Bush has the best chance at that. His name carries weight and a lot of money.

At the end of the day it's not about who would be best choice it's who has the best choice of getting the undecided vote while not losing the sure votes. GOP needs to win FLA. Most important state to win.

I like Christie. He's loud and is a straight shooter. He'll tell you what's up. He's a leader. He's also not capable of playing second fiddle.

Worked pretty well for Dick. Maybe not publicly, but Cheney did everything possible to undermine George behind the scenes as any VP in history.

Your idea of Jeb is intriguing. The country isn't going to elect Bush 3 to be President, but him being Vice President would be interesting play.

Jeb is incredibly smart. Too bad the country would probably never elect him president because of the name.

Kinda ridiculous that in October 2013 people actually considered these two (RP&CC) Big League material

Rand's entire point is that he's tired about the GOP's "war on women" from the left, when they idolize a womanizer.

Interesting strategy. Don't know if it will work, but he certainly doesn't hold Hilary in high regards and he is swinging early and often.
