The gun said Kimbrel hit 101. He is either very amped or they are adding a couple mph to the gun.

I'm still trying to wrap my mind around how that turned into a HR. It was almost like some sort of optical illusion and I still don't believe it actually happened.

Never let Laird close the game.

He keeps calling breaking balls when Carpenter and Kimbrel's bread and butter are fast balls.

The other team is pretty good. Not over. Though we'll be facing the bottom of their order. Wonder if Ethier will be used.

I'd love to hear his reason for not putting Gattis at catcher considering Gattis is a better hitter and a better catcher.

He is completely correct. Bad moves turn out well and good moves turn out bad all the time. The outcome has little to do with the decision itself. It is about whether or not the decision was the best available.

    Could be radar gun enhancing.

I remember when FOX had Kenny Rogers in 2006 throwing 95 mph for Detroit.

You are nailing it, thethe. Completely correct. And Laird gets his at-bat in a one-run game.

Why do people have a problem going with Carpenter to start the inning? Who should have come in?

I had no gut feeling as to whether we should bring in Kimbrel or not. But it is kind of funny to leave in Carpenter for one of the most dangerous hitters in baseball in a one run game...let him dominate him...and then take him out. Not saying anything other than ...funny. But i guess it worked (for now)

I'm not gonna question Fredi and Roger on every move. It's just dumb. So many on here seem to believe that if Fredi would just make the right move that is obvious to anyone with half a brain all would work out. That's just not the case.

Whoever is in there is responsible for getting the job done.

Exactly. That's what I don't understand. You either bring him in for Puig and Uribe or just let Carp finish it especially after back to back K's.
