Will take a different approach. This is how I think the results will be:

    Trevor Hoffman
    Chipper Jones
    Jim Thome

(Personally think Vlad is more deserving but just think that Thome will get in first.)

I've softened my stance on Bonds from 10 years ago. More inclined to believe he was just that damn good over PED's made him what he was. Vlad is a beast and should be in. Hoffman will get in. Andruw needs more time on the ballot. Defensively the best centerfielder ever by statistical measure and by the eye test. Good enough offensive numbers as a Centerfielder to where he should be given consideration when you combine it with his defense. Chipper a lock. Kent deserves some love. Not sure how much time Edgar has left. Thome should get it. Schilling should get in. Walker was one of the best pure hitters I've ever seen and really good in right field. Statistically he has a really good case to make it despite having some injury plagued seasons. I hope he gets in eventually.

8.Andrew-don't think he gets in but if Ozzie Smith and Brooks Robinson get in by being all timers on defense then why not Andrew?
    9. Bonds and 10.Clemons-it pains me to include them but atleast they showed how great they were before they got on the juice unlike Sosa/Manny and others who all of the sudden went from mediocre to all timers

    Vlad

Schilling, Vizquel, Edgar Martinez, Rolen, and Moose all get 50%. I think at least 2 of this group makes it in on next year's ballot.

Known steroid users continue to be blackballed and rightfully so.

    My List with note below*

Barry Bonds:One of the top 10 players of all time.
Roger Clemens: One of the top 10 best pitchers of all time.
Vladimir Guerrero: great offensive OF with good defense playing on a lot of bad teams.
Andruw Jones: Best defensive player on the planet with HoF benchmark offensive numbers.
Chipper Jones: One of top 3 3rd basemen of all time. One of top 3 switch hitters of all time.
Fred McGriff: Was most feared power bat in both leagues at different times. Not 1st ballot but worthy to get in.
Mike Mussina: One of the best RH of his era and not tainted by steroid concerns.
Gary Sheffield: One of the most feared bats of his era with HoF counting numbers.
Sammy Sosa: One of the best power hitters ever.
Jim Thome: Top 10 all time in HR hit. Long successful career.

    Just missed -
Omar Vizquel: Great glove and should eventually get in but too one dimensional for me
Curt Schilling: Not as good as John Smoltz but should eventually get in.
Jeff Kent: Best 2B of his era and should eventually get in.
Manny Ramirez: Similar to Bonds, Sosa, Sheffield but got busted multiple times and didn't seem to care. He eventually gets in.

Note: The steroid issue isn't something I overlook. But, I will say that MLB and Bud Selig created the environment for the steroid era to happen and now sit back like they didn't know. They knew and overlooked it until it became such a public relations problem they changed stance. McGwire was shown to have Andro in his locker 3-4 years before MLB ever decided it was a real problem. So, most of these guys are being punished for using when baseball (everybody from the commissioner through the players union) knew that they were using. Did Babe Ruth not get in because he was getting drunk every night during prohibition? Did Aaron or Mays get left out for using greenies and reds during the 60's? Who's to say that those weren't "performance enhancing." If you are going to punish the players and not let them in for doing steroids when all of baseball knew then Selig should not have gone in as the commissioner who allowed it to happen.

It blows my mind that so many people believe that Andruw isn't worthy of eventual HoF induction. His defense was transcendentally good. In fact, according to certain metrics, he is the 2nd best defensive player of all time regardless of position, only trailing Brooks Robinson. His defense alone should be enough to get him consideration, but if you add 400 home runs to the mix and it seems like he should be a lock. From 1998-2007 he was 3rd overall in WAR, only trailing Barry Bonds and Alex Rodriguez... two proven steroid users. I don't think I've ever seen any evidence that Andruw used so given the era he played in, that has to be in his favor.

This article really outlines his HOF case well: https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/in-d...e-credentials/

I just don't see a good argument against him getting in. Even the longevity argument

I think he has a better case than Guerrero, with longevity being the only thing in the latter' favor. Odd that most articles I've read think Guerrero is very likely to get in this year, while Andruw hasn't a chance.

I appreciate the "not on the first ballot" stance some take (I really do), I just completely disagree with that take - either you ARE a Hall Of Famer or you're not.

Vlad would be my 10th over Walker if push came to shove because of the "Coors Effect" even thought I don't like that distinction either. Andruw beats them both because of his defense.
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...

Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

I read an article the other day and there is quite a bit of pushback. i didn't realize that some of Chipper's tweets were pretty out there. That said, he's probably in.
