I agree with you. That one guy from South Bend said tonight that he’s in favor of legal abortion up until the actual birth. Roe vs Wade doesn’t even agree with that

Dem hopefuls are pandering to the far left wing. It's what candidates do in primaries as it's the wackadoodles that vote.

The idea that the SCOTUS justices always vote in blocks is misguided. When it's a big time social issue, they tend to close rank. Since those cases get the most coverage, they give the impression of two camps at war with one another.

The vast majority of SCOTUS cases are about much more technical aspects of the law and you frequently see groupings of justices that would look weird on a high profile case. For example, another case today (Albrecht) saw a 9-0 decision on a case dealing with preemption of state law in regards to drug warning labels. There was also an 8-1 decision (Tempnology, LLC) in a bankruptcy case in which Gorsuch was the only dissent.

so are you telling me that when Roe v Wade is finally overturned,
the deciding vote will be cast by the guy who was so
blackout drunk all through high school that he can't remember
which women he sexually assaulted? good ****ing job, America

I know it's pedantic but it annoys me when people talk about over turning Roe v Wade. The current controlling case is Planned Parenthood v Casey. That's the case that would be over turned.

Then give them readily-available access to birth control.

The issue in the bible belt is the religious fanatics think people shouldn't be having sex at all until marriage. So good luck with that.

Precisely my point. I think the pro-life movement for the most part is anti-sex.

    I agree 100%.

But i also think our society is losing a lot of its moral fiber and sex should hold more meaning than what it has now.

It may not have anything to do with morality, but millenials are having less sex.

"It's just a fetus." -- Doesn't work that way. Not scientifically. Not logically. The fetus has DNA. Is it human DNA or what? You know the answer.

You also don't know what I support or don't support. Stop assuming that you do -- assuming enough to not take my opinion.

If you decide it has no status, you should be out campaigning against abortion as violating women's rights.

My only point is that deciding what the status of a fetus is is a personal decision with no objective answer.

    Do you make no decision?

Are you asking the difference between a hypothetical fetus/child and a real one?
