Small town of 550 in Alabama sets up a speed trap to rob drivers passing through. They used tickets and forfeitures of out of people from other towns/states to fund 5 police officers, a DA, a Prosecutor and a Judge. They were sued and now people are avoiding the town or being more careful going through that town and now they are in big time debt and cant afford their police force. When a cop knows his paycheck is dependent on raising revenue from tickets and forfeitures do you really think he is going to give drives a fair shake? When a town hires a Judge and he knows they are dependent on ticket and forfeitures to fund themselves do you really think he is going to give anyone a fair trial?


I cant fathom people not being deeply disturbed knowing this kind of thing takes place in America. That there are towns that literally set a web to turn people in ATM machines.
