yeah, if only those dumb minorities would listen to your white ass they would have it better off

is how that reads in my mind

what i love is the **** you and the so called freedom lover call "emotional arguments" are remembered by people and have consequences. wether you would and him would sell out yourself for a dollar is meaningless. not everyone is in this for more and more money.

remember the line "hang to their guns and bible" and how we were told those words matter? didn't matter if true or not. it still pissed those white people.

Jobs are nice. Health care provides a lot of jobs. Who's gonna pay for the care of the masses who will have no insurance when the ACA is gone? Both can and should be done in any decent society.
Those people will have to get jobs. Once we signicantly reduce the pool of people that dot have healthcare the problem is more manageable and allows more flexibility on finding a solution.

The first goal should always be a strong economy. That gives everyone an opportunity to fix their own situation.

You and many others continue to mock my stance against Islam. Just remember I've been sayibg this for 15 years in these boards and I've been right the whole time. It's only going to get worse but by all means keep your head in the sand about the biggest challenge to world peace the world has seen since Hitler.

While agreeing to a point, that's typical Western, modern, myopic hyperbole. The Christian faith is growing at a phenomenal rate throughout the world.

But the fuller article is actually very good and actually makes my point - that not all Evangelicals are the same.

I’m not pro-faith or anti-faith but I totally disagree with the notion that Christianity is growing at any rate. Studies show the exact opposite actually in the West.

Note my second sentence in 363. The Church is growing at a phenomenal pace outside the West. And immigration from outside the West to the West and missionary efforts by non-Western Christians will begin affecting the West too.

Notice the age of these people. These are the butt hurt Christian that are standing in the way of legalization. 8 can't wait for those old farts to die off. I wish there was a God because I know damn well people like that would be going to hell.

Favorite part was when they claim there is no race problem in Alabama. Second favorite was one who said 97% of blacks voted against Moore because he didn't campaign enough. It's actually the opposite, the more he put his views out there the less black people were going to vote for him.

something a friend found. Thought would pass along:

As I stared at Doug Jones's Alabama victory map tonight, I was struck by how much it looks like the most consequential map in American history - the one that Abraham Lincoln used to determine his political strategy before the Civil War. During Secession Winter, Lincoln stared at this map of the slave states that showed each county by how economically dependent it was on slavery. The darker the shade on the map, the more slaves lived there. He saw that the western part of Virginia, Kentucky, Missouri, Maryland and Delaware weren't dependent on slavery at all - so he negotiated their stay in the Union as border states, and created West Virginia. He then looked at the darkest shades on the map, and predicted that South Carolina, Mississippi and Alabama would be among the first to secede. For the entirety of his presidency, Lincoln carried this map wherever he went, and it can be seen in several portraits of him.

157 years later, the trauma of slavery shapes our world. If you ever needed any proof, just look at these two maps side by side. The descendants of those enslaved, after migrations, KKK terrorism, marches and struggles, now vote where their ancestors were once counted as economic assets. And they voted for Doug Jones. In 2017, Black Alabamans heard a sorry excuse for a man say that America was "great" during slavery. They heard him loud and clear, and they clapped back so hard, so rooted in the spirit of justice it will impact our national political landscape for years.

Roy Moore is a sexual predator, a religious extremist, a racist, you name it. But also, Roy Moore is not a student of history. He did not respect the ground he walked on. He did not see that on the same dirt his ancestors once treated others as property, their descendants were now citizens who fought for the franchise, who heard every insult he hurled, whose power in numbers handed him his ass.

We have a ton of problems. But there are very few countries in the world that write history in all caps like we do. Let's keep fighting.

Just gonna drop a reminder here that Mike Lee and Rand Paul were the first Senators to endorse and support Roy Moore.

I think Lee withdrew the endorsement. Did Paul stick with him all the way? I've always thought Paul was a schmuck.

Thanks for dropping the reminder. Helpful.

Out of curiosity (genuinely), was that before all the allegations came out?

That is a dishonest answer to the question. You or I and presumably Rand Paul had no idea about them until the recent story broke.

    But you knew that
