I'm just not yet convinced, because it's still a sliver of the workforce being given raises/bonuses during a period in which public perception regarding the bill can be easily influenced.

All I can tell you is that I frequently speak with recruiters and the offers out there the last year are much better than the previous 5. Believe what you will but the wage growth in America is real.

The popularity of the tax bill has risen from 37 to 46% since December.

That is before people have seen the effects in their pay check

a new broom always sweeps good.

Let's check in in a year or so -- you might be right. It might have worked great
But taking a victory lap before it even goes into effect is what my mom used to call "tacky"

but you defend the policies of someone with a gold toilet
    so hey ...

maybe one day you can have one too

I think it's worth considering that these companies have every incentive to credit the tax bill for each bit of positive news about hiring, wages, expansions, etc.

my stance since day 1 has been wait and see

matter of fact you just quoted me saying as much.

My point is the victory lap before anything has happened.
    Could be great
    Could be the memo redux

Let me add, Trumps touting the positive of the bill make me suspicious . As in Atlantic City suspicious

Trump claims he has ignited job creation.

Job creation in his first year was the LOWEST since 2010.

It was stronger each year 2011-2016.
