People have been chastising Elliot for his not so amazing defense, I just think if Uggla is in there, there's likely more booted balls and more air mailed throws.

1 have 1 homerun this series, and we've lead the National League in homeruns all season. Our 1 homerun this series came in mop up duty.

The truth is our starting pitching has let us down and we're being beaten by a better team. We can get right back in it with a win tonight.

I agree with the starting pitching. It's a problem. But the Johnson move and the Garcia move are hands down the 2 most controversial and risky moves the Braves made, they'll be the 2 that will be the most magnified if we lost. And truth be told, who knows hwere this series is with Uggla, you're right Freddie was in a lose/lose at 2B. Odds are Uggla sucks as much as Johnson but you have to play Uggla because there is an upside. Elliot's upside is he's a bad hittign 2B.

Elliot's defense has not been that bad.

The ball he booted, is a ball Uggla typically dives full force for and misses. The throwing error last night is probably a throw Dan also attempts and probably does the same thing.

It was definitely a lose lose for Fredi at 2B. Chances are, Uggla plays and sucks and makes a few errors to boot (no pun intended). Then we get to read about people on here saying "If he's gonna suck, at least put Elliot it. Elliot wouldn't play defense this bad and he'd strike out just as much as Uggla".

The Dodgers just pummeled the Braves last night. At least the Braves weren't playing scared like they were in the embarassing Game 1.

I expect a good game tonight, but even if the series goes back to Atlanta that just means Kershaw gets to shut them down again.

Anything that extends the Braves season longer, I'm ok with.

If we go out after today, I don't care about baseball the rest of the year anyways. I'll still root for Tampa, Oakland, and Pittsburgh to an extent, only because it would piss off the powers that be in MLB. No Boston-LA World Series for them.

As long as we're alive I can live with it. Clayton is a beast, but we've beaten aces before. The key is we have to make him work and our pitching MUST be lights out. If Medlen gets his rematch he has to pitch as well as he did against the Phillies when he faced Lee. Hopefully our offense can get on the board early to ease Medlen's pain but winning against Kershaw has 100% to do with our starting pitching not letting runs cross the plate. If we can knock Clayton out after the 6th and the game is tied it becomes a battle of the bullpens where we have as good of a shot of winning as anyone.

Likely it won't be Medlen pitching against Kershaw, because Minor will have had full rest by then.

It will be Medlen with a short leash. Minor will be ready to go if Medlen looks like he did after the first in game one. And then he'll be ready to go in case of extras. I'm fairly certain Fredi has confirmed Medlen as well.

I personally would throw the kitchen sink today at the Dodgers and start Wood Wednesday if needed.

Yeah, we're only guaranteed 27 outs. Gotta pull out all the stops.

He can't be any worse than the performances last night. I'm hoping the embarrassment that happened last night can wake some of these scrubs that switched places with our regular season players.
I don't expect anything other than another pummeling at the hands of the Dodger hitters. They will score in all of the first 5 innings while holding the Braves to a couple hits.
