Going off of Loganhagens Brewers prospect list the Marlins got a 60 FV, 55 FV, and 50 FV hitters and a 40 FV pitcher. That's an estimated 120 million in surplus value in last years dollars so it's likely even higher with a year of inflation The Marlins did good here.

Heard #Marlins asked #Braves for Acuna and #Bluejays for Guerrero Jr. Those might be 2 best prospects in MLB. Brinson is big step down, but good enough to front deal and get it done with #Brewers

If the Brewers turn around and sign Cain, that opens them up to trade an OFer to the Braves. Santana for Teheran makes some sense.
I agree. Braves had the prospect capital to make a comparable deal in terms of value but if the Fish were wanting hitters in return then the Braves really didn't match up. Any moves would have taken away from the MLB team in 2018 and defeat the purpose of the trade itself.

BTW, this begs the question. If Hart or Coppy were still GM do y'all think Yelich would be here and either Acuna plus or Albies plus would be headed to Miami? Just a thought. I recall that they were willing to trade Albies for Quintana.

Source : The team most heavily engaged in trade discussions for JT Realmuto is the Washington Nationals.

Soto or Kieboom? Dont think it would cost Robles.

Albies for Q isnt totally terrible, he has a good contract and has a good K/9.

Acuna im not sure if they deal but who knows with Coppy.

Brinson is more likely to bust than Acuna or Guerrero Jr. IMO. I do not believe Acuna will bust but could see Brinson doing so. However, all three might work out too.

It's pretty damn fair for Yelich honestly.

Oddly enough, Brewers fans seem to be most upset about losing Harrison.

Albies, Gohara, Pache or Riley and a lesser piece is a lot. Not sure i'd do that.

If thats all it cost, then AA messed up.

Although it may have cost more to get him since Braves are a division rival.
Not necessarily. The only position prospect close to Brinson value is Acuna (who obviously holds more value, but still). I still think if we could have traded JT for a package centered around Clint Frazier, we'd have stood a very good shot at landing Yelich with Frazier as the headliner. Oh well.

Good return for Miami. I like the guys going back.

To me, the equivalent of this return in Braves terms would be Albies (someone ranked around 20), Riley (someone ranked mid top 100), Pache (someone outside top 100 with high potential), and a lottery ticket pitcher who is far away.

If the Marlins truly had a preference for bats, I'm not sure that's something we'd want to have given up at this point.

Funny. I was thinking Harrison was a nice addition to trade. Injuries slowed him but if he ever figures the K issue then the fish snagged a good player.

It might be fair on paper, but I am not as high on Brinson so if I were a Marlins fan I'd be disappointed. The Marlins could've gotten more if they waited a bit longer IMO.

I think it would probably be like Albies, Wentz, Pache, and DPeterson.

Marlins are apparently asking for Robles in a possible deal for Relamuto.

The #Brewers still are trying to sign free-agent outfielder Lorenzo Cain, sources tell The Athletic. Nothing changes with acquisition of Yelich.

Sounds like the marlins asking price is your MLB pipeline 1 7 12 prospects.
