I could see the Braves getting Prado back if the Marlins want to move him badly enough or in a bigger trade for Yelich. Headley makes sense for a stop-gap if the Padres will move him for little in return. I don't see Walker happening nor do I want to sign Frazier to a three year deal. Nunez on a two year deal would be okay given his ability to play multiple positions.

I'd also have interest in Yandy Diaz but I doubt he's traded. But if he is available then he'd be a good pick-up at the right price.

Wow Donaldson gets $23M. He's going to cost a lot this offseason even at his age.

The Blue Jays and third baseman Josh Donaldson have avoided an arbitration hearing by agreeing to a $23MM salary for the 2018 season, reports Shi Davidi of Sportsnet (via Twitter). That massive payday represents an all-time record payout for an arbitration-eligible player on a one-year contract. Donaldson, a client of MVP Sports Group, is entering his final year of team control and will be a free agent following the season.

That's perfectly in line with the 5/140 predictions for his next contract.

Yeah Donaldson will cost you in the upper 20's in AAV next year so this arb number is expected.

Just go after Machado and move Swanson to 3B. If the FO cares about winning, we'll do that.

If they care about winning they’ll just sign Harper too. Seems to make too much sense not to happen.

Will they still have enough money after that to sign Kershaw?

Orioles want the kitchen sink for Machado, it's a complicated process.

They should have moved him last winter when he had 2 years of control when the haul could have been massive. No team is trading a top 5-10 prospect for maybe 1 year of Machado.

We will have to ask clv about that.

Didn’t we count the Disney money as free found money? Maybe they can just use that?
