GDT: Braves @ Dodgers (NLDS Game 4, October 7, 2013)

Our best pitcher throws 1 1/3 inning all series. Its been obvious since day 1 that Fredi Gonzalez is just not a good manager. Probably s hell of a guy but a terrible manager. The last 3 years have proven that. Losing home field cost our arses. We are the anti cardinals, lose every elimination game.

That kind of thinking works great in the regular season, because there's not many must win games. It's the long haul that wins the division. But in a short series, you've got to leverage your talent to what they do best, and it's inexcusable to not get Kimbrel in more than one game in the series. He absolutely should have been in there after the double. If you're going to lose, go down swinging with your best players.

There's no saving his arm for Wednesday if we don't survive tonight. Just stupidity.

Wow we aren't going to get any respect nationally until we at least make it out of the 1st round this is not the way I wanted the season to end but its been an amazing ride just the fact that we battled and were in a position to win shows this teams heart but the injury to walden killed us If he's healthy that's his inning well be back next year but fredi needs to go he makes Bobby look like a strategic genius this isn't the end of the road hopefully well learn from this

Me too. I am hoping for a Tigers-Pirates world series. That being said, I am done watching baseball until April.

If you guys lived up north like I do and kjow how Pirate/Steeler fans are, you'd change your tunes really quick.

We left 2 runners on base in the 7th and 8th. Freddie grounded on first pitch and Elliot well... Elliot.

One of the things that always come true in baseball. You keep leaving runners on, it will burn you. End of story.

What killed us, plain and simple, was a horribad pitch from Carpenter. He put it on a freaking tee, and fat Juan did what he does.

He called slider and set up low and away. Carpenter missed badly. You don't throw a slider up in the strike zone like that.

Do not call a slider period against a free swinger with slider speed bat. You never knows what happens.......well we are the Braves, we know full well what happens when we throw sliders to slider speed bats, they get knocked out of the park in crucial times.

There are only about 2 or 3 good managers.

You don't throw Uribe a slider period in that situation...the dude can not hit a fastball.

Speaking of which why doesn't everyone just throw Upton fastballs down the middle...he can't seem to hit them either.

Uribe is a much better fastball hitter than slider.

This year., +3.4 on Fb, -6.2 on sliders.

Total -13 on Fb, -39 on sliders.

He may be the worst slider hitter in baseball.
