Nfl draft way superior product. Trades on draft night are awesome... mlb should allow it
teams have learned to apply a discount to pitching prospects...there is a lot of data and analysis now showing the return on pitchers has not been the same as the return on position players for any particular portion of the draft, including the first round

It’s a self-justifying joke. I like the idea of televising the baseball draft, making it an “event” and so forth; but that doesn’t mean they need to straight up waste time and string audiences along like the NFL has patented.

It makes sense to have time between picks in the NFL so teams can trade.
It's just stupid for MLB.
The pick is in, and they still stall for 3-4 minutes so Dan "can't be a real GM" O'Dowd can blabber.
NFL at least has trades which it makes it more intriguing, wish baseball you could trade players for picks, would be fun.
