School teachers are not the "gun wielding" type. And if one was that type, he would be the last person at school I'd want to have a gun. Teachers are criminally underpaid and overworked and do NOT have the time for that kind of training. A lot more goes into using a weapon than simply knowing how to aim and shoot. Teachers need and hope to connect with their students, not lord over them with a dominating threat of violence. I think it would only attract more hostility and violence.
Even suggesting such a thing displays a shocking level of ignorance.

This is very common bc in heat of the moment you may forget to verbally say it. And the goal here is to ensure the kids know they are being listened to.
