So we’ve gone from the court itself is a ‘clearly’ political tool (and I’m in fantasyland if I disagree) ... to the court is ‘in essence’ used as a political tool. Ok.
And I’m not going to touch the completely ludicrous (not to mention unsubstantiated) notion that the NRA has influence over the court on gun cases.

Looking forward to A.) small-government conservatives pushing for millions in training and arming teachers
And B.) the arguments for arming students when some nut teacher snaps.
Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like it’s pretty germane to the topic at hand to know how the big, bad villain of the month, the NRA, is ‘tremendously influencing’ the Supreme Court. Because it’s so clearly obvious.
A) I don't think this is the proposal.. not mine at least. Mine is, if a teacher is has a gun, let them have it on premises. I had several teachers in high school who had gun permits and would go shooting as hobbies. I would be absolutely comfortable with them having a gun in my class.
B) What stops a nut teacher from snapping today? Oh riiiiiight... the "gun free zone" schools
A.) it is a proposal as I understand it.
B.) Nothing does, which is part of the point. Neither will letting teachers carry weapons. It's amazing to me that people will argue let teachers carry their guns because it won't prevent them all but it might save some lives. Yet they don't apply that same reasoning to restrictions on the weapons themselves, ammunition, etc.
I'm personally in the no guns anywhere near campuses group, and I think the idea of teachers carrying is pretty heartbreaking.

A serious question that went unanswered up thread.
Are there any instances of school shooting on campuses where guns are permitted? Or mass shootings at gun shows?
Based on the logic of the left these would be slam dunk occurances but I can't find them happening
Still puzzling over the logical tangle that suggests that banning certain firearms is part of the solution, but that the organizations and individuals who've fought tooth and nail to re-legalize and maintain the legal status of said firearms are NOT part of the problem.
