Chuck Grassley held a town hall meeting yesterday and he faced
Iowans who were clearly fed up with the inaction on gun reform.
Multiple attendees interrupted him and called him out for his role in
blocking common sense gun safety legislation from coming to the Senate floor.

I won't pretend to even know what's in each of the eight bills, much less whether I agree with all of them, but good for her actually taking a realistic approach to this instead of insisting (like her party leadership) on one huge combo pack of restrictions. She's one of a select few in the House who frequently seems to actually be trying to govern for the people.

but it also doesn't bother me if a community through its elective representatives decide it is not for them...even though requiring people to wear clothing is in principle an imposition upon a person's freedom and autonomy...i don't view such freedom and autonomy as absolute...a community has a right to regulate its public spaces within the bounds of the constitution
