Chopping With The Braves And Rolling With The Tide
Tough to gauge his trade value. Maybe they want Teheran and we can get a good prospect back with him.
Gimmie Renfroe over Dickerson if the cost is reasonable

Renfroe has been very good vs lefties but quite bad vs righties. He would go good with someone in platoon that hits righties well enough. While a RHH, Lane Adams had reverse splits hitting righties very well but not even hitting .150 vs lefties. However, it was a small sample and mostly pinch hitting AB's too. So not much to go on. Still, the two might make a solid platoon.

Hey I heard the Braves are looking to add an OF. Trout might be a fit.

So Morosi is going to start a bunch of rumors about the Braves because he thinks they are looking for an OFer?
Renfroe is a high power, high K rate, low walk rate OFer with poor defense. He is the exact type of player that has lost almost all value over the last 5 years.
I’m hoping the Braves set their sights higher to fill LF. Maybe a player that’s actually good? Or is that too expensive?

Renfroe Dickerson platoon... hehe

This would be a great idea if Renfroe was actually good.
Wait. Why is he so bad now. Dude had a high k rate his first full year in the bigs and he is a bust? His minor league numbers don’t suggest he will be a 30%. His bat plays RF fine with averageish defense. I would take a flyer on him

I think his minor league numbers definitely show a high k-rate. aggressive approach with low-to-mid 20s k-rate leads me to believe that will be exploited at the highest level. FG did not have him as an average defender, either. if the price was basically zero, sure. dickerson is a far better bet, IMO.

How about a 40 less lbs Blair or wisler with a B prospect too?
