He did lay off a slider out of the zone though, so that was a baby step of a good sign.

Scherzer was sitting 93.
I suppose it’s only early in the spring for Kazmir.
This is 3rd team we have played and mostly starters have played vs us. Why are we running minor league teams out there?

2-run home run by Wieters. Fried sitting 92-94 on his fastball but it is still straight as an arrow. Doesn't look like he's picked up the 2 seamer like Enscheff had hoped.

Where are you seeing anything over 87?
Kazmir was hitting 87 mph but ended with a few 89 mph fastballs and one 88 mph.
Most starters don’t travel early in spring.
That pretty low for scherzer, no?
