    Soroka in to pitch:

    Ground out to 3B
    K swinging
    Ground out to 3B

No mention of velocity or anything else. Announcers talked about Mahtook leading off the whole time.

Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...

Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

    Soroka's second inning

K looking (94 on the outside corner for strike 1 looking)
Ground out to 3B, Riley almost threw it away
    Ground out to Soroka

If Soroka is really throwing that sinker at 94-96 with that easy balanced motion and that plus control...that's something to be excited about.

Swanson handles a fastball for a hit, as usual.

This Tigers pitcher is throwing nothing but heaters 93-95.

Swanson steals 2B then comes off the bag to get tagged out.

It really feels like both Acuna and Soroka might be the guys up after about 4 weeks at AAA.

I think Acuna is going to need 200+ PAs in AAA, but Soroka sure is impressive.

I'm getting more comfortable with my Derek Lowe comp for him...solid 2-3 win 190+ IP workhorse with a few 4+ win seasons sprinkled in.

Looks like Wright got knocked around pretty good by the Nats.

Riley with a long home run. Tigers announcers are raving about how far he hit it.

Looks like Gomez and Minter both had effective outings. Wish I could have seen them.

Newcomb only hitting 110 today, but it's too soon to worry since he's got all spring to get that velocity up

Just my guesses: Acuna - in May. Soroka & Riley - probably in July.

Unless we are a surprise this season, I think we have enough starting pitching to keep soroka down this year.

I don't know.... after this Spring so far, just not sure Acuna's ever gonna make it (sarcasm!)

Soroka may end up being one of our best draft picks in a LONG time... they absolutely loved him when nearly everyone thought... "who the hell is this guy?"
