Let's predict who signs the remaining FAs

MLBTR did a good write up about the top unsigned FAs: https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2018/...ee-agents.html

Let's see who can predict the final landing spots of the most of them.

    I'm guessing:

    Arrieta - Phillies
    Mous - White Sox
    Lynn - Nationals
    Holland - Cardinals
    Cobb - Brewers
    Lucroy - Nationals
    Walker - Brewers
    CarGo - Orioles
    Jay - Orioles

I think we end up with Jon Jay or (ideally) CarGo on a 1 year deal.

    Arrieta - Braves
    Moustakas - Braves
    Lynn - Braves
    Holland - Probably the Braves
Cobb - This one's tough, but I think the Braves
Lucroy - No doubt the Braves... they've always coveted Lucroy
Walker - Probably the Marlins... they're just a player or two away
CarGo - Braves, not even close
    Jay - Expos

Gonna be a good year, folks. I could be wrong, but I doubt it

Has the MLB put an end to the "sign and trade" loophole where basically a scenario like the Royals could sign Moose and trade him to an interested team that doesn't want to lose a pick?

I want CarGo on a show me deal.

Sign him to a show me deal like 2/15 or something like that. If he sucks he's another Markakis but if he succeeds his upside is a very good player.

Lucroy is reason 1, 2, and 3 for not signing/adding big name players until your window is open. That would have been a useless trade.

Such a deal for CarGo is going to be 1 year and may not even be an MLB contract.

I'd rather give those PAs to Tucker.

Jay to KC for $3M. We all whiffed on that one.

KC got the prototypical 4th OFer for peanuts.

I’m with you on this. Braves have plenty of money to spend, and their budget will only increase as they continue to exceed attendance expectations in the new park.

Passan via MLBTR says the Royals have signed Moustakas to 1 year deal.

The Royals have struck a one-year deal with third baseman Mike Moustakas, according to Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports (Twitter links). Jon Heyman and Robert Murray of Fan Rag had reported earlier that the Scott Boras client was nearing a deal to return to Kansas City.

The contract will guarantee Moustakas just $6.5MM — far shy of expectations heading into the winter. That comes in the way of a $5.5MM salary for the coming season and a $1MM buyout of a $15MM mutual option for the 2019 campaign. Moustakas can also earn up to $2.2MM via incentives for the coming season, per Passan. The bonuses would be maxed out at an achievable 450 plate appearances, per Bob Nightengale of USA Today (Twitter link).

MLBTR is also reporting that CarGo is close to signing a return deal to the Rockies for 1 year.

The Rockies are “close” to reaching a deal to bring back free agent outfielder Carlos Gonzalez, according to Jon Heyman of Fan Rag (via Twitter). If finalized, the deal would be for a one year term, per the report.

The possibility of a reunion has existed to some extent all winter, but whispers have picked up steam of late. His former teammates have pined for a return for the long-time Colorado star and GM Jeff Bridich has suggested all along it was at least a possibility.

Cargo to the Rox. Nobody got it.

Lucroy to the A's. Harry nailed it!
