I assume Sims and Fried will pitch today too. The odds are growing that Gohara will spend a few weeks in extended spring training or the minors. Which would open up a competition between Kazmir, Sims, Fried and Wisler to make a couple starts in April. I'm tempted to add Soroka to the list but he might be sent down for reasons similar to those that will keep Acuna from being on the opening day roster.

I think the Braves don't need a 5th SP until April 11. They could go with Teheran, McCarthy, Folty and Newk/Kazmir until then. AA did a decent job converting Kemp into rotation depth to delay the need for the young guns.

Hopefully Gohara is ready at that point, but it wouldn't break my heart to see him spend a couple months in AAA.

I'd rather see Wisler, Sims or Fried get knocked around for a couple months than rush Soroka.

Agreed, don't mind if Gohara gets a few starts in Gwinnett to start the year to catch up. I'd like to see Soroka spend a month or 2 in Gwinnett at least.

So a Gwinnett Rotation with Gohara, Soroka, and Allard would be fun to watch

Tanaka didn't give Albies the chance to jump on a first pitch heater.

Camargo laces a double down the RF line. He looks very comfortable at the plate.

All the tools are evident for Acuna. If pitchers can't sequence well he will eat them alive.

Tanaka didn't execute his offspeed pitches, and that 90 mph fastball at the belt isn't nearly good enough to beat Acuna.

I truly think Acuna is going to an MVP one day. That swing is unbelievable.

When/if he figures out the tactical side of hitting, he will be a force. It's the only question mark with him...at age 20.

I will admit that tears were flowing when that monster bomb went over center.

That sound is a sound I've heard only one other time this spring: Gary Sanchez the other day.
