The fed and our politicians have destroyed the dollar.

The average salary during the height of the great depression (1933 -25% unemployment) was about $4,600. Adjusted for inflation, that would be $99K today in 2023. The average American made $54K in 2022.

The spending and printing is criminal... all stolen from people who are not alive yet, and therefor can't vote for it

This is much more indicative of the worthlessness of our currency than it is wage progress

Governor Brian Kemp has temporarily suspended Georgia's gas tax due to the 40-year-high inflation. His goal is to provide direct relief to families throughout Georgia.

The order will go into effect tomorrow, Sept. 13 & will remain in effect until 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 12, 2023

curious to see who follows suit ?

What is so weird, a Governor gives a tax holiday
    It is not Kemps first

the fact that the economy is running strong is all the more reason.

Curious to see who follows suit
Would any of Georgia's neighbors ?

You know what unfairly affects most who can't afford it?

Crippling debt / deficit spending / money printing

"If not for the Bush tax cuts and their extensions—as well as the Trump tax cuts—revenues would be on track to keep pace with spending indefinitely, and the debt ratio... would be declining,"

one would be wise to read up on the economy Pres. Clinton handed over
that was immediately converted to tax cuts.

I certainly hope the know nothings convert this graph into a screen saver to save us all that useless

The honest issue is not spending but revenues

I guess the American people are just the old dairy cow out back. Just head out three when you need some more milk with no backup plan in sight.

I think it’s a valid point to question the impact of tax cuts on debt.

But the mental gymnastics some will do to completely avoid the discussion of our government’s wreckless spending is mind boggling.

The title of that chart doesn’t even try to acknowledge the spending problem.

Never mind that tax revenues are at all time highs and increased after the tax cuts passed
