What an absurd statement. There are few indicators that are good on their own.

    hooray for bad graphs

Does this mention that the top 50% gross income was 8 times higher than the bottom 50%. Does this mention that the top 10%'s gross income is basically 50% of all gross income in the USA? Keep in mind this does not factor in deductions. Which I'm willing to guess those with means probably aren't just taking the standard deduction as they have accountants and better ways of getting around paying taxes. This graph doesn't look good with minimum context provided to it. Let's talk real ****.

How about I share a graph with you

As you can see the bottom 50% which controls by my quick math, negative 1%, of the wealth in this country is paying their share of taxes.

Here's the rub, I know this won't phase you. You've espoused the wonders of pre-depression America. You believe what the richest of the rich tell you to believe. We're at a point in AMerica where wealth distribution is at similar levels to the Great Depression, the only reason we aren't in one is because our Government bailed out the banks in 2009. What people like Bernie are calling for is that those wealthy ****s who became rich taking advantage of AMericans pay their due. Honestly I still don't konw why none of those executives weren't criminally charged for fraud other than they'd have brought down some congress folk with them.

You didnt address the point, but rather went on a tangent about something unrelated.

By the way, were you ever planning to give me your opinion of the state of the economy?

Gosh, it's almost as if limitless government and spending doesn't actually help poor people!

This comment is full of fail. Just chock full of fail. Ignoring the baseless personal attack, the reality is that the Trump administration is any individual accountability as any ever. Trump made his fortune building companies and as they were failing pouring other business and personal debts into them then declaring bankruptcy to walk away. That alone lets me know he would never take personal responsibility for anything.

What was the point? Seems to me it was to complain about how the rich were taxed.

Who cares about wealth inequality if everyone is doing better.

I'd wager Venezuela and North Korea have more wealth equality than us.

    Who cares?

But yes, the fed has induced this. I support ending the fed. Yall mock me for that. I was not in favor of bank bailouts... let em sink. Unfortunately we dont have true free markets so we bailed em out

It's average for the majority of the Americans, great for the very rich.

Personally I've seen no real economic improvement in my life and I live in an area that's driven by tourism. Often from the very wealthy, so it doesn't seem like the trickle down system is working up here.

That the rich pay basically all taxes in this country for the same services everyone receives.

Holy ****ing **** that is a miserable graph.

Pumping up the value of salary to adjust for inflation doesn't factor into the real cost of good hike.

In 1967 the average cost of a house was about 15K, the average cost of a new car was about 3K, average income 8K average monthly rent 125.

Now the average New Car is 34K, average cost of new home 315K, average income 61K, average rent, about 1K gas.

We sa the average income soar over 7 times which is your inflation rate but it isn't close to soaring to meet the rising costs elsewhere. If the housing market increased equally the average cost of a house would be about 115K not 315K. Same with kars, it would be about 23K. This winds up being true of most things. Despite us living in a time where the American worker is much more productive than they were in the past, all the saving and profit are being past on to the executive, not to the workers as well.

The rich make basically all the money in this country. So I failto understand your point. Do you think the bottom 50% should make none of the money and pay all of the taxes?

I'm trying to understand what you're mad about. I respond to each of your points then you change the argument to something completely unrelated.

Adjusted for inflation, there are more Americans richer and less Americans poor than ever.

Some products have outpaced inflation, like housing, healthcare, and education. Those just happened to be the.most subsidized and regulated things in our market. Meanwhile, food, and every day items Americans use are cheaper than ever. Markets tend to work, you know.

Wait, timeout. Did you just imply that food isn't severely subsidized?

I know you think that. You also don't have a grasp on what that actually will mean for America and you aren't prepared for the crippling economic failure as we crash back into pre-FDR era America. Which wasn't good if you weren't part of the 1%.
