    Yes, just housing.

The Census Bureau's method that i showed you covers ALL of the economic factors. I guess the Census Bureau is a a right wing outfit.

Man, talk about living in denial.

I guess California losing the most population of any state is just BS too.

There is a good reason why they are losing their poulation.

It loses population mainly because it has shot itself in the foot with overly restricting permitting rules that have created a housing crisis. This has driven away older, less productive and less educated people. There was an usual period post-covid where better educated people were leaving too. But the most recent data show migration trends among young highly educated people once again turning positive.

I certainly don't think this self-imposed housing crisis is a good thang. It is a black mark against the state and they need to find ways to fix it.

Otoh people like my mom are happy that their house has turned into a pot of gold. I'll be visiting her next week and will be happy to report on conditions on the ground in California.

It's right there in black and white from the Census Bureau. When you factor in COL it's a ****hole where all the money is in the hands a of a few people.

You're a prime example why falling for propaganda is dangerous. Even when shown facts you can't accept it.

Did you not notice that all of the links I showed you says that it's straight from the Census Bureau?

There's only one Census Bureau, dude.

The stats you're showing is just the plain old poverty rate without the full COL.

The other one is called the Supplemental Poverty Measure (SPM) which measures everything.

Cal has the highest poverty, highest unemployment and are losing the most population of any state.

Quit trying to Cajun me because it won't work.

the federal reserve study i cited is probably the most thorough and comprehensive look living standards and also trends in living standards...it's a little dated which is a shame...but their approach is the best one i've seen so far

the least you could do is to trot out some conspiracy theory about how joe biden is making the census bureau hide or mess with the data

Still using older methods. Dude, you can't bull**** your way out of this.

Took me about a minute to find this. For an academic with a PhD you're pretty damn worthless. I guess now you're going to complain it's only in alphabetic order. However, you can plainly see California's 13.2%. Look on page 47.

Do you need me to help you read it as well?

ok...well done...so you also believe that Florida has the second highest poverty rate in the country...that's what your metric of choice shows...hopefully deSantis and Newsom will get together and figure out a solution
