From 2015-17 with the Tigers, Sanchez logged a total of 415 2/3 innings and surrendered 262 earned runs (5.67 ERA) on 462 hits (85 homers) and 131 walks. Sanchez still shows a penchant for missing bats (8.2 K/9 over the final three years of the deal, 8.9 K/9 in 2017), but his ground-ball rate has eroded and he’s become stunningly homer prone.
The nights he pitches could be promo nights. Lots of game used souvenir balls being given away.
Go get him!

His skyrocketing HR rate is pretty wild. In 2013 he had a microscopic 0.4 HRs/9. Last year it was 2.2. The K rate is great, the BB rate isn't bad. He just can't keep the ball in the park.
hmm. This is more interesting than it probably matters.
I'd be curious to know what his spring training was looking like as far as Ks and velocity and gophers.
No doubt AA brought him in with the hopes of Hernandez working his magic on him.

Is it too early to buy World Series tickets?
Does Anibal serve fava beans along with the home runs he serves up?
Anibal was signed to call up for homerun derby night.
