Albies homered again? From the other side of the plate?
whup whup.
Albies ambushed another first pitch fastball.
Pitchers will have to adjust to that
He was up for the better part of the second half of last season... anyways, he's taller and lankier than Furcal, and probably doesn't have the arm that Furcal has, but statistically, I'd guess they're similar players. I think Albies is a better true hitter. A better eye at the plate and a better approach.
My realistic ceiling for Albies is prime Jose Vidro with better defense.
Eh I don't think Albies power ability is at <10 HR like pre power breakout Altuve (nor do I think he hits 20+). I think he hits 12-15 this year, and has some peak years over 20, but just not now.
His better recent comp may be Lindor just at 2B? Vidro with more steals isn't a bad one either.
Aggression with prospects is fine, but being stupid is not. There should be a way to find a happy medium between a Pirates like idea of being overly cautious with prospects and going stupidly fast with prospects.
I love Albies but we are getting ahead of ourselves thinking he is the next Altuve or the next Lindor...let him make an All-star team first before bringing up those comps
"I am a victim, I will tell you. I am a victim."
"I am your retribution."
I’m not getting into the Albies = Altuve debate with you again. Altuve showed more power than Albies his entire career, and represents the 99th percentile outcome for a player that size.
Nothing anyone will ever say can convince you that every Braves player isn’t destined for their top 5th Percentile outcome.
