    Schimpf Optioned to Gwinnett

Who could have seen this coming? Cool breezes will dominate the weather forecasts in Gwinnett County, especially around the appropriately named Coolray Field.

Riley to Mississippi, I suppose. This may have already been announced though

I'd personally prefer they just cut him loose - not sure what value (other than that prodigious power he provides the one time every couple weeks that he makes solid contact) he holds for the Braves. Colon is a much better option as a utility guy to be tucked away in Gwinnett IMO.

Riley certainly isn't going to benefit much from more time in Mississippi - he needs to see the all the junkballers you can expose him to at the AAA level at this point.
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...

Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

Damn, now we won't have Schimpf to kick around. Why not cut his arse and be totally done with him.

He's a prawn now, but maybe the Braves think he'll develop into a jumbo.

I would DFA Schimpf and outright him to AAA, no one should claim him after his ST and gives us room to add someone to the 40-man.

I would guess a 50-1(50 shrimp to a lb). Why are they taking AB away from Riley keeping Schimpf around. All of the ST Ks and ABs took ABs away from Riley, Ruiz, and Camargo.

I think Riley still has a ton to prove in AA
