This Ump must be being paid by the Nats, he has missed far to many calls on Braves pitchers. It can't all be Perez' lack of framing skill.
That 2-2 pitch down wasn't that bad, but Perez stabbed at it like it was almost a wild pitch haha.

Enjoyed me some shadenfreude on that called strike three listening to the Nats announcers. He couldn’t believe the last pitch was called a strike.

He played a lot of Strat-o-Matic over the winter.
Suzuki will be back. They said he likely could have gone today. I'd rather have Stewart as the backup than this guy.

Brantly is still being shown on the Gwinnett roster. Is he really there? We are in a world of hurt if Perez is our only back up catcher.
Ump is absolutely killing us.
Where is this Ump's strike zone?? 1st 2 pitches from Minter were well with in the Fox zone and they were called balls.

This is one of the worst umpires I've seen since the CB fiasco last year. At least calling balls and strikes. Scherzer was getting calls two feet off the plate and we haven't gotten a single call that touched the lower end of the strike zone. He was squeezing Minter bad that inning.
in spite of the horrible strike zone, that was one of the easiest half innings I have seen in a while.
