Yeah. The mound visit by chuckie was helpful. Sure his conversation was something like. Remember he is a lefty. Walk him and go after the next guy

They were pitching to Story, but for some unknown reason that is ridiculous, a fastball was never called after that bad wild pitch.
Aggression with prospects is fine, but being stupid is not. There should be a way to find a happy medium between a Pirates like idea of being overly cautious with prospects and going stupidly fast with prospects.

That was not one of my top ten favorite ending to a Braves game of all time.

Walking Parra wasn't the problem. Viz lost it during the Story AB. Threw 7 straight balls I think.

His hittable 95 mph will not close games and he is as wild as Viz. Several of his pitches were Nick Laloosh like WAAAAAAAAAY outside and high.

I am going to bed too depressing when our closer pitches like he has panties on.

After the wild pitch, he was instructed to pitch around him imo. Story was late on every fastball too

And I agree that Viz is not closer material. Remember how he struggled Wednesday with a big lead.

    Go get em tomorrow

I'm not going to let Viz's problems between the ears overshadow the fact that the Braves would have easily won in 9 had the umps been even close to fair tonight. Can't beat that 10th man

the takeaway from this is simply that we got screwed, and with fair umping would have won- again - on the road- with big chunks of our complete team still not here.
Love the guts and how hard this team plays. Really like how Snit managed tonight too.
    Take the series tomorrow!!

Also- GREAT Braves reference tonight on SNL....

    Enjoyed the heart and grit...

However getting pretty sick of only 6-7 innings of Tucker...double switch with someone who’s not actually having an impact.

I love Kimbrel, but have not been a big fan of signing him back. If he wants to come and will sign to a reasonable contract....might not be a bad idea, or we need to trade for someone. It’s literally a toss up as to whether Viz is lights out or can’t throw a strike. He needs to be gone this year by the deadline.

Wouldnt go that far on Viz, he's usually pretty good, just was bad last night.

Viz is fine and Minter should be really good. I love Kimbrel too, but given our payroll limitations we shouldn't be spending 8 - 12% of it on a guy that will throw 3 innings a week

A great game with a crappy ending, but better than the great majority of games I've seen at Coors Field in the last few years. I think the park and that team get in visiting teams' heads a little, especially in extras. I don't ever remember the Braves winning an extra inning game there. Anyways, the weather was better and there were still quite alot of Braves fans in attendance, which was good to see on opener weekend.

Viz was fine when he was cheap, but now making what he is (and that number will only go up)...it’s time to part ways. Just too inconsistent.

I would only consider Kimbrel on a “home discount” type deal. He may take a little less to finish his career with the Braves...I doubt he ever wanted to leave.

This just isn’t going to end up making sense, I don’t think.
