It's almost time to be amazed, folks.
The 30/30 rookie campaign is set to begin. Hopefully in Chicago this weekend.

Let's be sure we're are clear so everyone knows just how monumentally dumb this comment is (as are all your comments you don't steal from others)...
Acuna is the best prospect in baseball who is being held down for an extra year of control at the age of 20.
Tucker is already 27 (almost 28) and is a marginal corner OFer who likely fits in a bench role.
So yes, we will give Acuna much more leeway than we give Tucker when decide who should be getting playing time.

They mean about the same amount as three April games at the MLB level, no???
No one's arguing that Acuna has one spot at some point for God's sake. He's 2-19 at Gwinnett after tonight - what exactly is the rush???
All you folks have constantly screamed bloody murder about how Swanson and Albies were rushed - what's the harm in making a 20 year old FORCE his way onto the roster by doing something other than plastering a bunch of not ready for prime-time kids during spring training???
I want to see him in the lineup as much as everyone, but if you've ever *itched about Dansby and/or Ozzie being rushed too quickly, shut up about how much Acuna "belongs in the lineup" unless you honestly believe this team is a playoff contender - he certainly hasn't done anything to prove that in the last week.
He's not hitting AAA Pitchers - exactly how many hits do you guess he would've had against Scherzer and Strasburg???

Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...
Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

But he's not being rushed. He's already proven he can handle AAA last year. A couple of games to start the year mean nothing. Only reason he didn't start with the team is due to service time. A couple of games of him not hitting with Tucker having a hot first week shouldn't change anything.
Man - I can't believe people are even contemplating not calling up Acuna as soon as he hits super 2 status. GET HIM UP HERE NOW!

I put no stock in spring training numbers. I can remember when such luminaries as Travis Wilson and Cory Aldridge had monster springs that had some all atwitter about whether they should start the season with the big club. Acuna is going to be a good player (unlike the other two), so the comparison doesn't completely hold, but the Braves made the correct decision in sending him to AAA (where he has gotten off to a slow start). Let him get his feet underneath him there before calling him up.
As for Tucker, I think he can contribute but like others have said, he's a pretty much known commodity and there aren't a lot of tigers that change their stripes at his age. He is healthy after some injury issues and maybe working with Seitzer has helped change a few things to make him marginally more productive, but if he puts up an OPS > .800, I'll be surprised.

No one has ever argued Albies was rushed. Even still, in 97 AAA games last year, he OPS'd .771.
In 84 AA games in 2016, Dansby OPS'd .745 and only played in 11 AAA games before coming up.
Acuna, meanwhile, OPS'd .895 in 57 AA games last year, and even with the 5 games so far this year, he has still OPS'd .893 in 59 AAA games.
And yes, then in addition to that, he blitzed the AFL and ST. Lulz at the thought of him being rushed or not ready.
