Yeah i dont see what good trading him would do. I'd really rather not throw Acuna in CF when he comes up

So you want 2 holes in the outfield next year?

Offense was less embarrassing tonight. Had some good cuts against Stras but bad luck and bad calls hurt us. Not much you can do about that.

The defense was embarrassing tonight. Lots of self inflicted wounds

pitchers aren't always the smartest. good for swanson to feast on these if he's going to struggle with the slider

My guess would be to set up the outside slider. But he's doing better (not great but better) against those and is missing fewer inside fastballs this year.

My plan would be to throw a bunch of money at Harper. And fill LF with a stopgap until Pache isnready.

I just don't think ender will.be good 2 years from now

Here's the thing with Acuna, people have said he CAN play CF, but he likely won't necessarily be one when he's in the majors. There's a difference in between being good at it and just playing it.

And while we think Pache will breakout, that bridge hasn't been crossed yet.
Aggression with prospects is fine, but being stupid is not. There should be a way to find a happy medium between a Pirates like idea of being overly cautious with prospects and going stupidly fast with prospects.

Swanson looks so much more comfortable this year at the plate.

Because you foolishly believe Pache is close to being ready to replace him.

He doesn’t need to be traded unless it is for something truly too good to pass up.

    1) Ender will start hitting. Dude may not take walks, but he is a consistent hitter and historically starts slow. So let’s not overreact.
    2) Freddie needs to get his crap together. It’s early, and he’s getting on base, but we really rely on his bat to be a table setter.
    3) Albies and Swanson look great!

A lot of ppl think Acuna will be plus in cf. his routes are interesting but he catches everything

If you could get Harper for rf you could put Riley in lf or go with Peterson and tucker in lf.

Pache is three years away. Repeat after me.....3 years. 3 years. Aa isn’t coppy.

Inciarte is not moving unless we get a mlb ready or already mlb controllable stud. Not sure who doesn’t want a controllable stud but does want a mid twenties cf.

    Pitchers make mistakes.

He looks a lot better. Metrics and eye test back it up.

I’d still be shocked if he finishes with an ops 800 or better. Surprised if he’s north of 750. But he’s way better.

We are not getting a premium dude. Machado is not leaving unless he can play ss.

Donaldson. Might not be premium given his age and arm issues.

Braves are going to make one gigantic trade where I think we overpay. We will pick up a catcher. We will sign a lower free agent like Adam jones. We will try to extend Albies Acuna and Swanson.

I'm just not too sure what the future holds. Early in the season we are trending strong in attendance. Let's see where it us if the braves ate in the WC hunt come sept. Ownership might see an opportunity to have attendance in the 3m range with a superstar like harper and a 95 win team.

    I think you're right.

As hard as the Hart/Coppy tried to scuttle his career before it started, hopefully Swanson can bounce back.
