Apparently with his leg in an air cast. He's now officially not blocking Gohara

That’s very unfortunate for him. Hell....us. He was pitching really well.

Soroka pitched too recently to fill in for his next start. But beyond that he is probably the best replacement candidate.

"I am your retribution."

He really was, yeah. Absolutely stinks. I didn't think he'd keep it up, but he could at least make a good option as a long man out of the pen.
I dunno where Gohara is in his rehab. On 680 the Fan they were speculating on Chuck n Chernoff that Soroka would make sense and be on regular rest. Not holding my breath on that
Fried...or Sims
Why would you start Soroka's clock when you are really not ready for him yet. Fried and Sims have already started their's.
Sims is the most likely, I’d guess.
Wisler is scheduled to pitch Friday. I'm certain it will be him
Gohara threw 62 pitches on 4/17. He should throw ~80 pitches on 4/22 or 4/23, and be ready to pitch in an MLB game as soon as 4/27.
That leaves 2 starts to be filled in by Sims/Wisler/Fried on either 4/19 or 4/20 (depending on when Newk pitches), and again on 4/25. These types of fill in starts are exactly what these AAAA guys are on the roster to do. Gohara should be ready to take over after that.
I think it would be dumb to promote Soroka for 2 starts. The last thing the Braves need is for him to get injured while on a temporary MLB stint, and be stuck on the MLB DL for any amount of time burning his service time. When Soroka comes up it needs to be with the intention of it being permanent.

Not only on the field, but Sanchez was a mentor to the young guys., especially Folty. After one of the young guys came to the dugout, it was Sanchez who was talking to them.
I thought Soroka would be up this year for a substantial amount of time, but I doubt it'd be starting on Sunday. I was thinking more on the lines of late June, July.
I think Newcomb moves up and then if he's not needed, it'll be Sims Sunday.
Aggression with prospects is fine, but being stupid is not. There should be a way to find a happy medium between a Pirates like idea of being overly cautious with prospects and going stupidly fast with prospects.
I don't really care when Soroka is called up. Service time isn't quite as important for pitchers. But when he is called up, it needs to be for the rest of the season, regardless of his numbers.

First the guy tripping over the foul line and now another guys leg fell off doing warmups ... WTF

Wisler just seems to make the most sense - as crazy as that sounds. Tomorrow's his day to begin with, and he's coming off of a good start (for whatever that means with him).
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...
Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

Considering his AFL peformance, I lean towards Fried getting another shot right now.
