Tough inning, that ball by Rosario kept going and going.

    Looking at spotrac contracts.

DeGrom for 2 more years after this year, and rest of this one. Syndegaard for 3 more and this year.

Not sure they'd shop them but if they moved anyone, i'd think it would be DeGrom. Their farm system is really bad and they're kinda in win now mode with the barren farm and older team, they'd have to really stink to sell imo.

With their projected rotation in a possible playoff series, they would be a tough out.

Thor is getting superstar calls so far in this one.
Aggression with prospects is fine, but being stupid is not. There should be a way to find a happy medium between a Pirates like idea of being overly cautious with prospects and going stupidly fast with prospects.

Speaking of Rosario, I have been surprised with how mediocre he’s been. He was an elite prospect for a few years and has yet to do really anything to impress.

Sandy certainly isn’t going to be the one to blow things up. He’s near retirement and there’s no way he’s going to push this team to a full scale rebuild. But if he decided to, they could rebuild that farm in a hurry. Syndergaard and DeGrom could both get a Sale like return.

That’s the result of only having a prodiminately 2 pitch aresenal. When you can’t get your whack ass change up over for a strike it allows hitters to sit 50/50 on your whack ass fastball or above avg curve.

It is and will always be a revolving door with this kid...he’ll show glimmers of dominance and he will quickly come right back to reality.

It feels like it's relatively simple here on Newcomb, get the changeup down, and he has a chance, if not, then it's unlikely.
Aggression with prospects is fine, but being stupid is not. There should be a way to find a happy medium between a Pirates like idea of being overly cautious with prospects and going stupidly fast with prospects.

Just read a Fangraphs article on Yoan Moncada and came across this interesting tidbit.

Moncada has a BABIP of .355 this year and is hitting .222

He has a strikeout rate of 40 percent!

I am telling you, I know when Newk is off. his speed is off, he is missing arm side to righties and can't throw off speed for strikes hardly. It has to be mechanical.. someone pitching smart can fix this.

Hernandez needs to go because he doesn't help kids...he doesn't help veterans, he just got lucky to be around a generational talent in Jose Fernandez which the Braves take too much into factor with.

Dude ray Charles could see when he’s off. He goes 3 ball count to every other fckn hitter.

Now watch Syndegard...he’s about to go to full lock down mode. That’s the difference between prospects that stick and a fckn scrub like Newcomb.
