I don't know that I'd go that far—but, Soroka's seeming readiness (coupled with Gohara's looming return) is the biggest immediate reason why I think it makes sense to entertain trading Teheran, and to go through with it if there's solid prospect-return offered. The usual pitcher-attrition caveats apply, but with Foltynewicz, Newcomb, McCarthy, Sanchez, Wisler, Gohara, Soroka, and Sims (now that they're stretching him out again)—plus some options a bit further back in the wings, like Fried and Allard—I think the Braves would have solid, if not ideal, depth in the rotation.

Braves would be doing well just to ditch Teheran’s salary next season, which I’m not sure they could do.

If they can they should jump on it. No prospect required.

Before I sell Teheran I'd like to see if this new pitch sequencing / mixture actually becomes effective.

Otherwise, we are clearly trading McCarthy the first moderate offer we get.

Lol. You crush Inciarte for being in decline and want to cut bait with Folty but you want to see if the guy throwing 89 has figured out his pitch sequencing.

Hint: you can take your time in deciding because there isn’t anyone clamoring to take on Teheran.

Jacob Webb got the save for Mississippi in game one of their DH. He’s having a great start to the year, and I remember Kiley being pretty high on him in their Braves report.

Soroka is a freakin stud. I know they may keep him in AAA all year but he’s ready. With Soroka, Wright, Folty, Newcomb, and Gohara possibly leading the rotation we will have a super cheap core for a long time so we will no doubt be able to throw the bank at an outfielder this offseason.

Likely is. No reason to rush though as our rotation hasn’t been terrible

Good luck depending on McCarthy and Folty to anchor a rotation. Julio may and could be traded but I'd wait until the end of the year to do so UNLESS you're absolutely sure the growing pains of the young guns is worth rushing.

Pache 2-for-4 again. 0 for 3 on stolen bases on the year though.
