I have never been on the Folty and never will be because of his excessive pitch counts. He hurts the team more than helps because the BP is always in the game early when he starts.

Christ...gonna be one of those series?
This 6 era pitcher is at 17 through 2.
Coppy
I still like Folty but yeah his high pitch counts are no bueno.
Of course Braves making this pitcher look like Kershaw.
offense looks terrible right now. swinging early....their starter has half the pitches through 2 innings than folty had in 1
Get off my lawn!
I'm just spitballing. Probably means nothing. Insert McGuirk for Liberty if necessary.
Maybe they see a chance to boost attendance and take advantage of a little momentum. Or maybe it's pure coincidence.
All along I've suspected you were 100% right that payroll would either go down or stay the same, and about 80% right as to the reason. I think they had a limited amount of additional money available to spend, but didn't see the need to do so on a non-contending team. A decision I agree with wholeheartedly by the way. Signing a free agent to boost the team from 79 to 82 wins wouldn't have made sense.
You're probably right that it's way too early to believe the start has anything to do with any additional expenditures.
Am I the only one who had no idea Cliff Pennington was still in the league?
8 pitch ab to a pitcher...
Swanson made a hard play look casual.
Man, took 8 pitches to get out a terrible hitting pitcher. That is bad pitching.
If he was facing any other lineup, this game would be out of reach.
Hopefully playing the Reds continues to help Folty tonight.
Luck has to hold out just long enough for the hitters to figure out whoever is pitching for the Reds.
With it being a 4 game series, it would be a major disappointment if the Braves left this series less than 3-1. In reality, they should go 4-0 based on matchups.
