I'm not questioning the sprint speed, but it may be possible that he's not going all out at all times.
So to come back to this Acuna now sits with 12 readings and is at 28.9 f/s which rates 32nd in baseball. Ozzie is at 29.2

Will be interesting to see where this settles as more information comes in.

Does look like he was undersold a bit in the speed dept.

Also interesting is that Swanson is 21st in baseball at 29.1

I'm guessing now that Acuna's number is showing 70 grade, nobody has any issues with the statistic lol.

If it is indeed 70 grade, you nervous about 30 SB?

If sprint speed directly lead to SB he might be.

That's 132/158 (.835). What is normal steal success?

Interesting that Bourjos was the highest ranked Braves player. Guess he really did have that skill still working for him, if nothing else.

Was the bet based on SB rate, or SB total? Do you think I don't know what I'm getting myself into when I propose these bets?

If you want to look up average SB success rate, go to the FG leader boards, click League, sort by SB%, then go to each year you're interested in.

The general rule of thumb is that SBs are only a plus if the success rate is 75%, so I imagine it's right around there.

To this point, it's also interesting that Inciarte is way down at #183 (27.1, and barely above Preston Tucker's 27.0), yet he's clearly been the most effective base-stealer for the Braves so far.

So 1 in the top 5 got to 30 SB?

The Braves 2 fastest runners have a combined 5 SB this year so far. And someone with average sprint speed has 11 or whatever now.

Acuna is 1/1. He will run if he is on 1b imo. Albies keeps hitting extra base hits, so no reason to run

Have to assume Acuña will likewise rarely be on first outside of walks.
